Fault
The robot lawn
mower fails to
recognize the mag-
netic tape (27) and
travels over it and
past it.

wer stops or travels
out of control when

Possible cause
- The magnetic tape (27) is
laid too deep in the ground.
- The magnetic tape (27) does
not work properly because
the outside temperature is
too high.
- The magnetic tape (27) is
laid too close to the guide
cable (24). The distance
between two independent
boundary areas with magne-
tic tape (27) is too small.
- Interference arises in the
mowing area due to electric
cables.
- The robot lawn mower slips
over the magnetic tape (27).

Remedy
- Lay the magnetic tape (27) on the ground
or at a depth of approx. 5 cm in the
ground.
- Wait for the temperature to cool. Avoid
operating the robot lawn mower during the
hot hours of the day.
- Keep a distance of at least 80 cm bet-
ween the guide cable (24) and the mag-
netic tape (27) or between two boundary
areas.
- Avoid electric cables which run through
the mowing area. Position the charging
station (19) at the edge of the mowing
area. Keep away from mowed areas which
do not belong to you but to your neigh-
bors, for example, and which are operated
with a perimeter wire.
- Avoid laying the magnetic tape (27) on
gradients.
- Take account of the specifi ed conditions
of installation.
