b) Setting Tooth Backlash
The motor pinion (1) ,must interlock force-lockingly in
the main gear (2) without catching or being stiff. The re-
quired space between the teeth (tooth backlash) can be
set most easily with a narrow paper strip (3).
Loosen the two screws a the motor (4) and turn the pa-
per strip between the gears.
Then push the drive motor gear against the main pinion
and screw on the motor in this position again.
After removing the paper strip, you can check the gear
stage for smooth operation.
c) Calibrating the Control Encoder
When calibrating the control encoders, the electrical
control signals of the rotary controllers and the control
stick are newly recorded and saved. The trim sliders of
the control sticks must be put in the middle position be-
fore calibration.
Switch off the transmitter and move the DIP switch 5
(see figure 37, item 1) from the bottom position „OFF" in
the top position „ON".
Insert the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the battery
compartment again and switch on the transmitter. The
LED display in the transmitter is lit green and flashes 2 x
red approx. every 4 seconds.
Now move the two control sticks and the two dial swit-
ches to the stop several times in each direction.
Then put the dial switch and the control sticks in the middle position.
To complete calibration, switch off the transmitter again and move the DIP switch 5 to the bottom position (OFF).
