Practical Flight Advice for the First Start
• First start the transmitter, then the model helicopter.
• Set the gyro sensitivity in AVCS mode to 80%.
• The pitch controller (see figure 1, item 2) should be set to the very right, to 100%.
• The toggle switch for the swash plate path limitation (also see figure 1, item 3) must be in the front position so that
the swash plate does not perform too-large control movements and the model can be controlled more sensitively.
• The toggle switch for the motor off function (also see figure 1, item 17) must be in the front position „0" for the rotors
to start up.
• The rotor blades of the main and tail rotor should be aligned with each other by 180° so that there is no imbalance
at increase of the rotating speed that may throw over the helicopter in extremes.
• Place yourself exactly behind your helicopter. As long as you can see your model from behind, it will react to the
control commands: right, left, forward, backward exactly as you see it. Whereas, if the cockpit of the model points
towards you, it moves exactly the opposite way from your steering commands at the transmitter from your view.
• Slowly push the control stick for the pitch function forward and observe precisely how your helicopter behaves.
• When the model helicopter has taken off, try letting it hover in place with targeted control movements.
• When the helicopter is flying at a height of more than 80 cm, the floor effect (rotor downwind goes to the ground) is
no longer present and the model will hover more stably.
• In danger situations, do not move back the control stick for the pitch function too quickly, because the helicopter will
otherwise touch down very hard and be damaged.
Attention!
If the rotors hit any objects and are blocked or if the model falls over when standing, slide the control stick
for the pitch function into the bottom-most position at once so that the drive motor is no longer supplied with
power
Caution, important!
Never try grabbing the flying helicopter with your hand. There is an increased danger of injury!
