b) Balancing of the Rotor Blades
If the helicopter vibrates in hover flight, this may be due to unbalanced rotor blades. To perfectly balance the rotor
blades of the model helicopter, there are practical and precisely working aids in the accessories trade.
On demand, a U-shaped wood piece (1) with glued-on
cutter blades may be helpful for the holding screw.
Important!
The two rotor blades must be precisely aligned
with each other by 180° and the screw with
which the rotor blades are held together must
be perfectly straight.
Either the enclosed marking strips or a piece of coloured
adhesive tape (2) are glued to the lighter rotor blade.
If the position and size of the adhesive strip have been
determined, the adhesive strip is pulled over the front
edge of the rotor blade and glued on.
The tail rotor blades may be balanced by the
same principle as the main rotor blades on de-
mand.
