d) Verification of the Gyro Function
Move the control stick for the pitch and tail functions (also see figure 1, item 14) to the bottom position and switch on
the transmitter. Observe the correct position of the toggle switch for the motor off function (also see figure 1, item 17).
It must be in the rear position „1" so that the drive motor of the helicopter cannot start up. The toggle switch for the
3D-setting (also see figure 1, item 4) must be in the front position „0" for this.
Connect the flight battery to the helicopter and wait until the gyro has completed initialisation. During this time, the LED
at the gyro will flash quickly and the helicopter must not be moved or turned. After completion of the initialisation, the
stick of the tail servo moves to the centre position.
Set the dial switch for the gyro sensitivity to approx. 80% in the normal mode. The LED at the gyro will not light up.
If the tail is now pressed to the left manually, when looking from the top, the tail servo must perform a control move-
ment which would turn the tail back to the right. The turning movement of the lever at the tail servo must go in the same
direction as if the control stick for the tail function on the transmitter is actuated to the left (figure 22A).
If the tail is pressed to the right manually, when looking from the top, the tail servo must perform a control movement
which would turn the tail back to the left. The turning movement of the lever at the tail servo must go in the same
direction as if the control stick for the tail function on the transmitter is actuated to the right (figure 22B).

Then set the dial switch for the gyro sensitivity to approx. 80% in the AVCS mode. The LED at the gyro will now light
up. If you move the tail to the side now, the tail of the tail servo must remain deflected until you have manually returned
the tail of the helicopter to the starting position.
