A – INLET STEM
The combination valve is fi tted to the gas cylinder by a threaded inlet stem. The inlet stem can
be taper threaded or parallel threaded with diff erent sizes depending on the cylinder size and
material.
B – FILLING PORT
A fi lling port is provided for fi lling the gas cylinder at a fi lling station, it has no function to patient
use. The fi lling port contains a non-return valve (NRV). The NRV prevents fl ow of gas without
the use of specifi c fi lling adaptors which enables venting/evacuating gas from the cylinder and
fi lling gas into the cylinder.
C – ELECTRONIC INDICATOR (E-GAUGE)
The E-GAUGE is designed to display the amount of gas in the cylinder, gas delivery time
calculation at set fl ow and evaluation of defi ned warnings. The indicator is active, i.e. the
amount of gas in the cylinder is indicated regardless to shut-off valve position.
D – SHUT-OFF VALVE
The combination valve is provided with a shut-off valve to isolate the gas in the cylinder from
the rest of the combination valve functions. It must be opened during cylinder fi lling and gas
supply. Part of the handwheel is an indicator showing open/close status of the shut-off valve.
