A FE alert can be displayed incorrectly if the fl ow head control is set to low fl ow (1-2 l/min
typically) and the ambient temperature increases rapidly at the same time.

5.1.3. BLUETOOTH WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY
E-GAUGE is equipped with a Bluetooth module for wireless data communication in the licence-
free zone of 2,4 to 2,5 GHz. Bluetooth communication is mainly used for primary programming
and calibration in GCE production.
Further it can be used in fi lling stations for basic setting in connection with a special mobile
application (see Appendix Nr. 4).
Operational frequency: 2,4 GHz ISM zone (zone for radio transmitting in industrial, academic
and medical fi eld).
Eff ective radiation power: max. 3 dBm.

This warning is displayed in the case of fl ow control head
position sensor failure or fl ow control head in undefi ned
position between two flows.
•
The pressure is displayed.
•
The warning triangle with FS (fl ow sensor) is displayed.
•
Turn the fl ow control head from undefi ned fl ow position
into proper fl ow. If the warning symbol is permanently
visible, discontinue use of the cylinder immediately and
send it back to the owner or the fi lling station. A service
must be performed by a GCE certifi ed service centre.
•
This warning is displayed when the pressure drop in
the cylinder is not detected despite the fl ow being set
(e.g. closed shut-off valve or throttled outlet hose)
•
The evaluation time depends on the set fl ow and
the cylinder volume, typically 2-10 minutes.
•
The pressure is displayed.
•
The warning triangle with FE (fl ow error) is displayed.
•
Check if the shut-off valve is opened or if the hose is
not throttled. Perform necessary actions. If the warning
symbol does not disappear within a few minutes,
discontinue use of the cylinder immediately and send it
back to the owner or the fi lling station. A service must be
performed by a GCE certifi ed service centre.
•
FE is not evaluated at fl ows under 1 l/min.
•
The FE symbol can be hidden by rotation of the fl ow
control head to diff erent position.
•
This warning is displayed when the MediVital®E is placed
in to the environment beyond its operating temperatures,
see chapter 3.
•
The pressure is displayed.
•
The warning triangle with TC (thermal condition) is
displayed.
•
Ensure the operating conditions (see chapter. 3).
