• Do not use the charger inside vehicles.
• The product must be installed, used or stored in a place where it is out of children's reach. Children
may alter settings or may short-circuit the battery/battery pack, which can cause fire or an explosion.
Risk of fatal injury!
• Avoid operation in the immediate vicinity of strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields, transmitter
antennas or RF generators. This can impact the control electronics.
• Ensure that the wires will not get pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
• Do not place containers filled with liquid, vases or plants on or next to the charger. If these liquids get
into the charger, the charger will be ruined; moreover, there is the highest risk of fire.
In this case, disconnect the charger from the voltage/power supply immediately; unplug the connected
battery from the charger. Do not use the charger any longer and take it to a specialist workshop.
c) Operation
• The charger should be connected only to a voltage/power supply with a regulated direct voltage of
11 - 30 V/DC.
• Do not wear metallic or conductive materials, such as jewellery (necklaces, bracelets, rings or similar),
when working with the charger or the batteries. A short circuit poses fire and explosion hazards.
• Do not let the product operate unattended. Despite the extensive and diverse protection circuits,
malfunctions or problems can occur when charging a battery.
• Ensure sufficient air circulation during the operating phase; never cover the charger. Keep a sufficient
distance (min. 20 cm) between the charger and other objects. Overheating can result in a fire hazard!
• The charger is suitable only for charging (or discharging) NiMH, NiCd, LiIon/LiPo/LiFe/LiHV and lead-
acid batteries. Never attempt to charge other types of batteries or batteries that cannot be recharged.
This involves the highest risk of fire or an explosion!
• Use the product in a temperate climate, never under tropical climate conditions. See the chapter
"Technical Data" for the permissible environmental conditions.
• Do not use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold into a warm environment. The
condensation that forms may impair functions or may damage the product!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before using it. This can take several hours!
• Avoid operation in the immediate vicinity of strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields, transmitter
antennas or RF generators. This can impact the control electronics.
• If safe operation seems no longer possible, shut down the device and secure it against unintended
operation.
Disconnect the charger from the voltage/power supply. Do not use the charger any longer and take it to
a specialist workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
• It is safe to assume that operation is no longer possible if the device shows visible damages, the device
does not work, after prolonged storage under unfavourable conditions or after the exposure to severe
transport strain.
• Keep the whole product in a clean, dry location out of children's reach.
