Operation
Putting the Swather to Work
• Switch the hydraulic system to
pressure.
• Switch on the control and swi-
vel the rotors to the working
position.
OBSERVE!
On
swivelling
to the working position, the
ground drive is extended to the
front. For this, release the hand
brake, do not brake, move for-
ward slowly using a low gear!
• Fold the safety frame (6) to the
outside (to working position)
and lock with latch (6a) (fig.
58).
• Engage the tractor PTO with
the engine running at idling
speed and then increase the
speed up to 540 rpm.
• Select a travel speed which
suits the crop and ground con-
ditons.
• Raise both rotors before negot-
iating tight bends.
Proceed with special care
when travelling on a slope
with lifted rotors. Danger of tip-
ping!
