11 Maintenance
Danger
The user or installer is responsible for installing the correct earthing and protection
in accordance with the applicable national and local standards. All operations must
be carried out by specialist personnel. It is essential to ensure that the voltage and
frequency indicated on the nameplate match the existing mains supply.
Danger
Always disconnect the power supply before working on the terminal box. Wait at
least five minutes before working with the connections. Ensure that the power sup-
ply cannot be accidentally switched on again at any time.
11.1 General information
Before each disassembly, shut off the suction and pressure sides, unscrew the fuses and drain
the pump.
11.2 Aligning the pump shaft
If the motor has been disconnected from the pump during installation or repair, the pump shaft
must be checked after the motor has been installed:
Check the concentricity of the motor shaft with a dial gauge. The maximum shaft runout at the front
impeller seat must not exceed 0.05 mm.
11.3 Removing the installation block
See Section 4.4.2 "Rotating the pump head" and Section 4.4.3 "Differential pressure sensor han-
dling".
11.4 Replacing the floating ring seal
If the installation block has been successfully removed from the pump housing, the floating ring
seal can be replaced.
