Electrical connection
Danger
The user or installer is responsible for installing the correct earthing and protection
in accordance with the applicable national and local standards. All operations must
be carried out by specialist personnel. It is essential to ensure that the voltage and
frequency indicated on the nameplate match the existing mains supply.
Danger
Always disconnect the power supply before working on the terminal box. Wait at
least five minutes before working with the connections. Ensure that the power sup-
ply cannot be accidentally switched on again at any time.
Danger
The pump must be earthed and protected against indirect contact in compliance
with national regulations. Protective conductors must be marked with yellow/green
(PE) or yellow/green/blue (PEN). Always observe the locally applicable regulations
with regard to cable cross-sections.
5.1
Mains switch
The pump must be safeguarded by the customer and connected to an external all-pole mains
switch. The switch must have a contact opening of at least 3 mm per pole according to IEC 364.
5.2
Additional protection
If, due to the mains current or electricity supplier requirements, the residual current circuit breaker
protective measure should be applied, residual current circuit breakers must be used which:
– Also trip in the event of pulsating direct fault currents and smooth direct fault currents (all-current
sensitive version) in line with DIN VDE 0664.
– Take into account the charging current pulse to earth when switching on the mains.
– Are suitable for the leakage current of the pump.

escaping from the shaft seal
cannot escape, which leads to
corrosion. Moreover, such insu-
lation makes maintenance more
difficult. Insulation material is
not part of the delivery.
