Assembly
4.1
General notes
The pump must be installed in a frost-free and well ventilated room. The pumps must be installed
free of tension, so that no forces are transmitted from the piping to the pump housing.
The pump can be installed directly into the piping, provided that the piping is designed for the
weight of the pump.
Under no circumstances must the pump be installed at the lowest point of the system, otherwise
sediment deposits may accumulate in the pump.

Ensure that people cannot accidentally come into contact with hot surfaces.

4.1.1
Flushing the heating system (with the pump removed)
In order to avoid unwanted interruptions in operation and to avoid the pump not starting up after
longer shut-down periods, we recommend that, in the event of a newly installed or converted
heating system, the system be emptied, thoroughly flushed and refilled after the first time it has
heated up.
The installation must be state-of-the-art. (Position of expansion vessel or safety flow).
4.2
Installation restrictions
The installation may only be carried out after all welding and soldering work on the system has been
completed. Always avoid dripping water on the pump motor, especially on the electronics.

A clearance of 300 mm (VivarA S) and
1000 mm (VivarA M) is required above the
motor. This provides access for disassembling
the pump head and thus for maintaining and
inspecting the pump.
