These must always be followed and kept in a fully legible condition.
1.2
General information
These installation and operating instructions contain basic information that must be followed during
set-up, operation and maintenance. The fitter and any relevant specialist personnel/operators must,
therefore, read these instructions before installing the system and putting it into operation. They
must be available at the system's place of operation at all times. Always observe the special safety
warnings given in other sections of these instructions as well as the general safety warnings listed
in this "Safety warnings" section. In addition, the national accident prevention regulations must be
observed.
Warning
This product must only be installed and/or operated by persons with a sufficient
level of knowledge and experience. Persons with limited physical or mental ca-
pacities or with restricted sensory perception must not operate the product unless
adequately supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be kept away from the product, as a general rule. The use of the
product by children, e.g. as a toy, is not permitted.
1.3
Personnel qualifications and training
Personnel tasked with installation, operation, maintenance and inspection must be suitably qual-
ified to carry out the work. The area of responsibility, duties and monitoring of personnel must be
closely controlled by the operator. It must be ensured that personnel have read and understood
the instructions in this operating manual. In some circumstances, the operating manual must be
reordered in another language.
1.4
Risks of failure to observe safety warnings
Failure to observe the safety warnings may result in personal injury or damage to the system and its
surroundings. Failure to observe the safety warnings may result in loss of any entitlement to claim
compensation. Specifically, failure to observe the safety warnings may pose risks such as:
– Failure of important system functions
– Failure of specified maintenance and repair techniques
– Danger to personnel caused by electricity and machinery

Safety-conscious working
The safety warnings listed in these installation and operating instructions, current national regula-
tions on accident prevention and any internal regulations the operator imposes on work, operation
or safety must be observed.
