• In order to protect the unit from eventual overloads or short-curcuits, the connection to the electrical line must be done through a
magnetothermic switch or a switch with fuses if possible placed near the same unit (the voltage drop on the line must be such to leave
the supply voltage to the terminals of the unit inside the tolerance limits). When not already prescribed by electrical safety norms, it is
requested to adopt, upstream the system, a residual current device with high sensitivity (30mA) with manual reset.
The device for electrical protection must be chosen in such a way to:
- avoid nuisance trippings during the working of the unit (the thermal intervention threshold, accurately derated, must be bigger than
the nominal current "In" reported on the label of the unit; in case of magnetothermic switch use, we suggest to adopt a dispositive
with an intervention curve C);
- protect the electrical ducts from overload (with a proper coordination between switch and supply cable);
- guarantee a suitable protection against short-circuit and electrical faults (adequate short circuit interruption rate at installation point
and proper coordination with the downstream system).
The unit must be installed in a point of the system where the expected short-circuit current does not exceed the short circuit withstand
of the unit itself (Icc value reported on the label). If otherwise, it is necessary to install a protection dispositive that presents the
following characteristics:
- peak value of the limited current "Ip" not over 10kA (in correspondence of the expected short-circuit current at installation
point).
- I 2 t (limitation class 3 or equivalent).
When in a cold room there are more than one unit it is advisable that each unit has its own protective device.
• Always connect the equipment to an efficient earthing system installed according to the relative standards. Do not use sockets or plugs
that are not earthed.
• Always connect the equipment to the power supply mains following the colours of the supply cable wires

• In case of power with generator make sure that the electric power is sufficient to permit a safe starting of the unit or that during the
first moments of the machine start-up are respected tolerances in terms of voltage and frequency.
• In the event that it is necessary to extend the power supply cable and/or auxiliaries, first contact our Technical Department.
• Before carrying out any maintenance operations, disconnect the equipment from the mains power supply :
- Press the ON/OFF key to switch off the display;
- Put the disconnecting device in OFF position (if fitted) / Remove the plug (if fitted);
- Remove voltage using the thermomagnetic circuit breaker.
• Use gloves when carrying out maintenance operations in proximity to "Extreme Temperatures".
• Do not insert tools or other objects into the fan protection grids.
• Do not us the unit if without grills or protections.
• Do not clean the unit with direct or pressurized water jets (that can damage fins and mobile parts) or with aggressive substances.
• Do not ever wet electrical parts of the unit.
• To ensure correct operation of the machine, do not block the air vents when it is operating.
• The unit is not made to work in salty environments or in presence of copper and aluminum corrosive substances. If that is the case the
exposed parts must be protected in the most ideal way.
• Installation and special maintenance operations must be carried out by authorised, qualified technical personnel with good knowledge
of refrigerating and electrical systems.
• For every unexpected use, contact the producer for information about the possible contraindications and the related dangers.other
than that permitted shall be considered improper, and in this case the Manufacturer will decline all liability.
Possible danger areas, residual dangers and risks, devices used
1.0.5
The machines have been designed and manufactured complete with the proper devices to guarantee the health and safety of the user.
RISKS FROM ACCIDENTAL CONTACT WITH MOVING PARTS:
The only moving parts of the machine are the fans. These fans present no risk as they are shielded by protective grids that are fixed in
place with screws. Disconnect the equipment from the power supply mains before removing these shields.
RISKS OF INSTABILITY:
The stability of the machine on the cold room is guaranteed by the proper fixing devices (supports, corner pieces).
RISKS FROM SURFACES, EDGES AND CORNERS:
The evaporator and the condenser have sharp surfaces.
HIGH OR LOW TEMPERATURE RISKS:
Decals have been applied in proximity to areas of high/low temperature risk. It is clear that, for the natural state of the unit, other
internal parts can result dangerous as matter of temperature.
ELECTRICAL RISKS:
Risks of an electrical nature have been resolved during the equipment design stages, following - as far as concerns the electrical systems
- the dispositions of IEC Standard EN60204-1. Decals have been applied in proximity to those areas of electrical risk and are as follows
CAUTION! It is strictly forbidden to tamper with or remove the installed safety devices (protection grids, decals.....). The manufacturer
accepts no liability in the event of failure to observe this warning.
