1Operating the appliance
Y ou have already learnt about the controls and how
O p e r a t i n g t h e a p p l i a n c e
they work. Now we will explain how to set your
appliance. You will learn about what happens when you
switch the appliance on and off, and how to select the
operating mode.
Switching the appliance on and off
Before you are able to set the appliance, you must
switch it on.
Note: The childproof lock can only be set if the
appliance is switched off. Some displays also remain
visible in the display when the appliance has been
switched off.
Switch off your appliance when it is not being used. If
no settings are applied for a long time, the appliance
switches itself off automatically.
Switching on the appliance
Touch #.
A standard value is highlighted on the display. The
appliance is ready to use.
You can find out how to set the operating modes in the
individual chapters.
Switching off the appliance
Touch #.
Any functions that may be running are cancelled.
The time appears on the display.
Note: You can set whether or not the time should be
displayed when the appliance is switched off in the
basic settings.
Operation
Some operating steps are the same for all operating
modes. In the following, you can learn about the basic
operating steps.
Starting the operation
Touch the n field.
Your settings are shown in the display. If a cooking time
has been set, this counts down visibly.
Note: Opening the appliance door also pauses the
operation. Close the appliance door and touch the
n field.
Pausing the operation
Touch the n field or open the appliance door.

The operation is suspended and the n LED flashes.
Close the appliance door.
2.
Touch the n field.
3.
The operation is continued and the n LED lights
up.

Selecting an operating mode
After selecting an operating mode, default values are
shown in the display. You can start this setting
immediately.
The following always applies:
Touch the relevant field for the required operating
1.
mode.
Use the settings area to apply other settings.
2.
Touch n.
3.
The appliance starts the operation.
Setting the heating function and temperature
Example in the picture: Hot air › at 200 °C
Touch the 8 button.

The Hot air › heating function is set by default. A
default temperature of 160 °C will appear on the
display.
Touch the F button.
2.
The temperature is highlighted.
Set the temperature to 200 ºC using the settings

area.
Touch the n button.
4.
The appliance will start heating. The length of the bar
on the temperature indicator gradually increases.
You can change the temperature at any time using the
settings area.
Note: Once the appliance has heated up, slight
fluctuations in temperature are normal, depending on
the heating function.
