SETTING UP THE SYSTEM
PRECAUTIONS:
This product was especially designed to combine
the tuner
amplifier, satellite speaker and subwoofer.
If other components
are combined with this unit, adequate functioning may not be pos-
sible and damage may result. Do not connect this unit with any
component that is not specifically designed for use with this sys-
tem.

Deze installatie is speciaal ontworpen voor een gekombineerd

This unit is a 3-D format stereo system.
@ The 3-D format takes advantage of the limits of the human
ear's directional sensitivity for low-range sound by. repro-
ducing the mid- and high-range audio in stereo and bass
sounds in monoaural.
This format provides the following features. It enables bass
sounds to be reproduced by a single speaker. The speak-
er can be installed in any Jocation (center placement is not
required) because the directional sensitivity is poor for low
bass sounds. The stereo speakers on the left and right do
not reproduce the bass and can be a small size.
TUNER AMPLIFIER AND TAPE DECK CD
PLAYER INSTALLATION

Install the accessory insulator plate ® under the tuner ampli-
fier when the system is arranged horizontally. Insert the pro-
jections of the plate in the holes on the bottom of the tuner
amplifier. (Fig. [2: )

Place the tuner amplifier above the tape deck CD player when
the system is arranged vertically. (Do not install the accesso-
ry insulation plate to the bottom of the tuner amplifier in this
case.) (Fig. {3)
SATELLITE SPEAKER INSTALLATION
@ The ideal listening position should be at apex or slightly behind
the apex of an equilateral triangle which has the left and right
speakers as the base.
The satellite speakers can be hung on a wall.

Make sure the speakers will not drop when they are mounted
ona wall.

Inspect the wall surface before installing the speakers. Check
if the wall is strong enough to hang the speakers on. PIONEER
disclaims the responsibility for damages due to dropping of
the speakers and other accidents, which are caused by inap-
propriate strength of the wall or improper installation.
No screws or other fittings are supplied to mount the speak-
ers on the wall.
SUBWOOFER INSTALLATION
@ The use of the 3-D format enables a wide range of installation
locations.

After installation, play the unit and then set the level.

NOTES:
@
ifthe subwoofer is placed in a location that is too distant from
the listening position, the acoustic volume may be inadequate
for both speakers because the adjustment range is exceeded.
lf a speaker is positioned near a television, color fluctuation may
occur.
If this occurs, turn off the television for 10 to 30 min-
utes and then turn it on again. If the color fluctuation remains,
move the speakers away from the television.
