Manual water control
Only used for service when draining and flushing reservoir. The
switches are mounted inside the steam generator. Note: the
switch for water out must always be set to the Off position after
use, otherwise Fault code no. 5 will eventually display when tur-
ning on the equipment, see Figure 49-1.

MULTIPLE POWER SUPPLY CIRCUITS. CHECK
THAT THE STEAM GENERATOR IS DISCONNECTED FROM
THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE PERFORMING SERVICING.
For Fault code no. 5: Steam tank overfilled - level electrodes not
working.
First read the list of fault codes in the user instructions for the Eli-
te/Pure control panel. Also see the Electrodes, water level section
in these instructions.

Service
To check/clean the electrodes, proceed as follows:
1.
Cut off the power supply to the steam generator after the fault
code is cleared and the reservoir is empty.
2.
Open the lock nut (see Figure 48-2) on the electrode tube
and inspect the pipe next to the reservoir.
3.
Use a bottle brush to help clean off any limescale/dirt depo-
sits that may have settled in the pipe between the tank and
the electrode tube. There must not be any kind of blockage.
4.
When the cleaning is complete, screw back the lock nut on
the electrode tube.
5.
Switch on the voltage to the steam generator and start the
operation again.
6.
If the fault returns immediately after restarting, you can
also check the air hose between the electrode tube and the
reservoir (see Figure 48-1). There must not be any kind of
blockage or kink on the hose.
