CAUTION
It is absolutely forbidden to approach the chain with the hands or other parts of the body.
It is compulsory in all non-use conditions to ensure that the bar cover is inserted, otherwise there is a risk of
cutting or shearing.
The manufacturer shall be held harmless from any liability in the event of non-compliance with this
requirement.
4.13.3 FIRE
In the event of faults or failures, the plastic material used (e.g. sheaths, electrical cables) is self-extinguishing and
complies with current standards.
The product, being a hand-held and/or hand-carried portable product, is not equipped with its own fire-fighting
system.
•
The customer/user must assess the need for an adequate firefighting system in accordance with the safety
and fire prevention regulations in force in the country of the user and the internal regulations of the
site/establishment.
•
Do not use open flames or smoke near the product during operation and/or maintenance.
DANGER
In the event of a fire, always shut down the product and disconnect all power/energy sources.
4.13.4 EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE:
CAUTION
The product is NOT suitable for use in explosive or classified environments
• It is absolutely forbidden to use it in an explosive or partially explosive atmosphere.
The product is therefore not suitable for working in the following types of environments:
-
explosive or partially such
-
classified as fire or explosion hazard
-
where corrosive atmospheres are present
-
where classified gases and/or dust are present
-
with a fire risk from any material or ignition source
• It is absolutely forbidden to use it in any of the environments listed above.
4.13.5 BLINDING
Risk present at all stages of use and during maintenance and cleaning.
•
When working with the product, it is absolutely forbidden to stand in the vicinity of the cutting head so as to
avoid the risk of projecting objects and fragments of the process.
•
When using and cleaning the product, personnel must wear appropriate protective goggles.
CAUTION
The use of eye and face protection is mandatory.
4.13.6 FALLING, PROJECTING OBJECTS
•
Avoid leaving work tools and objects unattended, even temporarily, to prevent them from falling or being
ejected
•
During use and/or maintenance activities, avoid pointing the cutting or harvesting head at others or at yourself
to avoid the risk of projection of processing residues and/or lubricants.
•
During cutting or harvesting activities, there may be a risk of the product being dropped and/or thrown (cutting
or harvesting).
