If the branch is under tension: Perform an unloading cut on the side under pressure, then on the
side under tension with a sectioning cut.
6.3.2 CUTTING THICK BRANCHES
Cut larger branches into sections about 20 cm apart, so that
you have better control over the drop point.
At the cutting point (A), make the unloading cut at the bottom of
the branch and then the sectioning cut.
Then proceed to the cutting point (B), first making the unloading
cut on the lower part of the branch and then the sectioning cut.
6.4 PRODUCT HANDLING
Before handling the tool, in case of short movements, make sure that:
a) The tool is switched off
b) The chain is stationary
c) The bar cover is inserted.
Once the above conditions have been verified, proceed with handling by turning the cutting head backwards with
respect to the direction of movement, ensuring that no persons, things or animals can come into contact with the
tool.
In the case of moving from different sites or for long journeys, in addition to the above (point a-b-c), it is also
prescribed to:
•
Remove the battery;
•
Store the tool and battery in their packaging.
6.5 STORING
After use, or in the case of long periods of inactivity, it is prescribed to:
•
Follow the procedure for switching off and securing the product (see paragraph 6.5).
•
Once the operations as described above have been carried out, empty the oil reservoir and close the cap
again.
•
Remove cutting residues (sawdust) from the front cover. Re-install and clean the tool perfectly and reinsert
the bar cover on the bar.
•
Follow all maintenance regulations described in the manual as well as current and applicable safety
standards.
CAUTION
For short and long periods when the product is not in use, empty the chain lubrication reservoir, taking care to store
the tool in a covered, dry place, away from the weather to safeguard its integrity.
