The user must therefore return the spent battery-accumulator free of charge to the appropriate municipal
separate collection centres for electrical and electronic waste, or dispose of it in the containers provided at the
points of sale.
4.12 SAFETY DEVICES APPLIED TO THE PRODUCT
The product is equipped with the following safety devices.

4.12.1 FIXED GUARDS
Fixed protections consist of fixed guards and/or characterisations installed on the product, whose function is to
prevent access to internal parts or moving parts during the operating cycle. With the exclusion of the cutting blade
area where no protection is possible because of the specific function of the equipment.
Placed in restricted access areas during maintenance, they require specific tools for their removal.
Fixed guards are the protective shells of the product's mechanics, which also include protection of the operating
lever against unintentional activation of the product (shocks, dropping the product, etc.)
NOTE
Periodically check the integrity of the fixed guards and their fixings, paying particular attention to the access
guards to the product mechanics.
DANGER
It is absolutely forbidden to operate the product, following maintenance, without properly reinstalling the fixed
guards, as well as to use it without them.
It is strictly forbidden to tamper with the product by attempting, by any means, to circumvent a fixed protection
by taking advantage of possible indirect passages due to but failed or partial repositioning of protections or
where all fixing screws have not been repositioned as originally intended by the manufacturer.
4.12.2 REMOVABLE GUARDS
The removable guard consists of a bar cover/sheath whose function is to prevent contact with the chain/cutting
head during all conditions when the product is not in use.
DANGER
It is a mandatory requirement for all personnel to always put the protective sheath on the chain under all
conditions/activities when the product is not in use. Specifically, that protection is present under all conditions
of handling, movement, storage, maintenance (excluding chain replacement and/or tensioning), etc.
NOTE
Periodically check the integrity of the sheath and if it is damaged or no longer efficient it must be replaced
immediately.
