CAUTION
It is forbidden for the operator to carry out maintenance and/or tightening of screws and bolts
reserved for the mechanical maintenance technician or the electrical maintenance technician.
7.1.2 CHAIN LUBRICATION
The oil will flow on the chain (1) by repeatedly pressing the pump (A) on the reservoir cap (15). For filling the
tank, please refer to paragraph 5.2.3.
IMPORTANT!
Make sure that there is a lot of oil on the chain during use.
Always check the oil level in the tank and top up if necessary.
If the chain is operated without oil, the chain and the bar will wear rapidly and the service life of the tool
will be reduced.
7.1.3 REPLACEMENT OF THE CHAIN AND/OR CUTTING BAR
IMPORTANT
Replace the chain when, after sharpening it several times, the tooth length has reached 3-4 millimetres or when
the chain links show cracks or are excessively worn.
IMPORTANT
Replace the bar when:
➢ the depth of the groove is smaller than the height of the drive links (which must never touch the bottom);
➢ the internal wall of the groove is worn to a point that the chain tilts sideways;
➢ there are clear signs of wear, deformities or damage.
➢ To prevent an asymmetrical wear of the bar, it must be periodically inverted with respect to the chain.
CAUTION
Before replacing the chain and/or bar, switch off the tool with the ON/OFF button (9) and remove the battery (18)
by pressing on the tabs (19). See paragraph 6.2.3.
Then perform the following steps in this order:
1) Place the tool on a flat surface and completely unscrew the nut (3) with the spanner supplied, then remove
the front cover (5).
2) Remove the bar (2) and the chain (1) to be replaced. To facilitate removal, slacken the chain by turning the
adjusting screw (4) anti-clockwise.
