The battery consists of a charger, BMS (battery management system) en lithium
iron battery cells. Battery capacity value: 25kWh.
• The lithium iron battery is resistant to higher temperatures.
• The lithium iron battery is a safer type through the battery management
system which controls and manages everything (system prevents deep
discharges and overload or a temperature fault condition). The BMS system
gives also messages to the DiBO control unit.
• The charger is also built- in and is equipped by a ventilator.

This battery types have a longer durability than other Li-ion batteries and charge
faster. One can charge the battery by connecting the charging socket (2P - 16A
6h 230V) against the light bar via the supplied charging cable to the appropriate
power source (see item 11; "Visual perception" on page 17 ).
• The battery has an orange switch , this interrupts the battery completely.
• The battery will also be interrupted by pressing the machine emergency
stop (interrupts relay inside the battery pack). During the emergency stop
activated, the BMS remains powered on.
In case of battery calamities, always pull out
the orange service plug (if possible)!
A deep discharge of the battery is very harmfull to the
cells (causes internal damages). An alarm message will
appear on the machine display! After receiving an alarm
message, one can still continue working but the battery life
is significantly shortened at many frequent repetitions!
Charging the battery system is possible from : -20°C.
However, charging at higher temperatures is much better
for the battery durability. Preferable: about + 20°C.
When the battery capacity decreases, the battery becomes
less usefull. To ensure the best possible lifespan: avoid a
deep discharge as much as possible. Lithium systems can
be recharged constantly, it is not necessary to complete
a charging cycle before they can be used again.
Thus, it is better to briefly recharge the system
several times in a day than to fully discharge it.
