You can choose between many different kinds of rice and prepare them differ-
ently – we would like to give you a little overview.
SA VO UR Y R ICE
Prepare the rice as described in the Rice Cooker Duo Program but instead of
water, use the identical amount of chicken, beef or vegetable broth resp. fish
stock.
SW EE T R I C E
Prepare the rice as described in the Rice Cooker Duo Program but replace half
of the water with apple, orange or pineapple juice. Caution: We don't recom-
mend preparing rice pudding in the Rice Cooker Duo Program, as it might burn
on the bottom of the cooking bowl.
S A F F R ON R I CE
Add 1/4 tsp. of saffron powder or 2 saffron threads per 2 measuring cups of
rice to the water. Use the table statements for white rice. Thoroughly stir the
rice.
A R B O R I O O R CA RN A RO L I RICE FO R RI SO T T O
Arborio and Carnaroli rice are shiny round grain rice varieties from Italy and is
used for risotto dishes. For risotto rice, use the table statements for brown rice.
J AS M I N E R I CE
Jasmine rice is fragrant long grain rice. Please refer to the table for white rice.
B A S M AT I RI CE
Basmati rice is aromatic long grain rice. Please refer to the table for white rice.
W I L D R I C E
Solely cooking wild rice in the Rice Cooker Duo Program is not recommended,
as it requires an especially high amount of water. It can, however, be mixed into
white or brown rice.
