As soon as a charge process starts, the internal timer starts as well. If the charger cannot detect whether
the battery is fully charged for whatever reason (e.g. with delta-U detection), the charge process is ter-
minated automatically after a set time if the safety timer is set to ON.
This protects the battery from overloading. However, do not set a time which is too short, otherwise the
battery cannot be fully charged.
Calculate the time for the safety timer as follows:

With factor 11.9, the battery is charged with 140% capacity before the safety timer kicks in.
Briefly press the button "START/ENTER". "ON" (or "OFF") then starts to blink in the bottom display line.
With the buttons "INC" or "DEC", you can select between "ON" (= safety timer activated) and "OFF"
(safety timer deactivated).
Save the setting by pressing the "START/ENTER" button.
Now the time display for the safety timer starts to blink (bottom line on the right).
With the buttons "INC" or "DEC", you can set the time (10 to 720 min). For a quick adjustment, hold the
corresponding button down.

Another safety function of the charger can terminate the charge process if a certain capacity was "loaded"
into the battery.

(safety cut-off deactivated).
