Operating the menus (For overview see fold-out page):
Select the desired submenu from the main menu using the "BATT TYPE/STOP" button and confirm your
selection with the "START/ENTER" button.
Using the buttons "INC" and "DEC", the various configuration options are called up.
To modify a value, press the "START/ENTER" button - the corresponding parameter then flashes.
Modify the value shown in the display using the "INC" and "DEC" buttons.
Save the (modified) value with the "START/ENTER" button. If several parameters are shown at once
(e.g. LiPo CHARGE -> charging current and cell voltage) it will move on to the next parameter.
Exit the configuration menu using the "BATT TYPE/STOP" button. It then returns to the main menu.
You can find the menu structure on the fold-out page for easier operation and a better
overview.
10. Lithium Batteries (LiPo, LiIon, LiFe)
You can view the entire menu structure in the correct order on the fold-out page. Here
the key functions for operating are also given.
a) General
This charge program is only suited for batteries with lithium technology, "LiPo", „LiIon" and "LiFe". The
respective battery type, which you want to connect to the charger, must be set prior to starting a
charge/discharge procedure (in the "User" settings, see chapter 15).
If the battery has a balancer connection, the balancer battery connector as well as the
battery connection cable must be connected to the charger when charging/discharg-
ing.
Use the correct balancer connector depending on the number of cells.
There are different types of balancer plug. For this reason, do not use force if the plug
does not fit! Suitable adapters are available to purchase for the balancer plug.
When using a balancer (integrated in the charger "B6 Quadro"), all cells have the same
voltage after the charge process, which prevents the individual cells from being over-
charged. The latter is not only bad for the durability of a LiPo battery but there is the
risk of destroying the battery as well as a risk of fire and explosion!
