The charging current which is to be set depends on the capacity of the battery and
should normally be 1C. However, you should observe the battery manufacturer's
instructions.
The value "1C" means that the charging current is equivalent to the battery's capacity.
As such, a charge current of 1.8A should be set for a 1800mAh LiPo battery with 1C.
In the main menu, select the battery program "LiXX BATT" with the button "BATT
TYPE/STOP" and confirm your selection with the "START/ENTER" button.
Depending on the battery type selected in the "User" settings, the display shows
„LiPo", „LiIo" or „LiFe".
Check whether the battery type indicated on the display coincides with the battery you want to
charge/discharge.
Afterwards, you can select the different functions with the buttons "INC" and "DEC".
• "CHARGE": Charge lithium battery without balancer connection
• "BALANCE": Charge lithium battery with balancer connection
• "FAST CHG": Fast battery charging
• "STORAGE": Charging/discharging batteries at a set voltage value
• "DISCHARGE": Discharging the battery
b) Charging batteries without balancer connection ("CHARGE")
After selecting "CHARGE", the following display appears, for example:
The value on the left in the second line shows the charge current, the
value on the right shows the voltage or number of cells of the battery pack
(in this example, a one-cell LiPo battery pack, 3x3.7V=3.7V)
Select the battery type (LiPo, LiIon, LiFe) as described in chapter 15.
If the values need to be changed, press the "START/ENTER" button. The charge current begins to flash.
Change the charge current using the keys "INC" and "DEC" and confirm the value using the
"START/ENTER" key.
The voltage then begins to flash. Change this using the buttons "INC" and "DEC". You should be aware
while doing this that the voltage only changes with the number of cells (e.g. one cell = 3.7V, two cells 7.4V
etc.) Confirm the setting by pressing the "START/ENTER" button.
To begin the charging process, keep the "START/ENTER" button pressed for longer (approx. 3 seconds).
If the settings are wrong, or if the charger detects a problem, an audio signal is emitted and the appropri-
ate information is shown on the display. You can stop the warning signal by pressing the
"BATT.TYPE/STOP" button. You then return to the previous configuration menu.
