9.5 Suspension fork
Your Carqon is equipped with a Suntour Mobie 20" suspension fork. The suspension fork softens the
vibrations on the flatbed and the arms making the ride more comfortable, holding the front wheel on the
ground to provide a better road handling. The fork can be adjusted to the rider's weight and preferred riding
style via the spring preload.
It is not the coil spring hardness that is set, but the spring preload. This reduces the 'Sag'of the fork when the
rider sits down. Sag is the amount of travel your suspension moves through just by adding your own weight
(body, clothes, pack, etc.) to the bike. A semi-hard spring is used by default.
9.5.1 Changing the sag of your front fork
Turn the preload adjust button clockwise to increase the spring preload and turn it counter-clockwise to reduce it.
Note: Your Carqon dealer can help adjusting the sag of the front fork.
