2 Safety
This section contains information on how to use your flatbed in a safe way. Please read this section
carefully to learn more about safe usage of your Carqon flatbed.
Warning
2.1 Instructions for safe use
You will reduce your risk of accident and injury if you take note of the following instructions for using your
Carqon flatbed safely:
Only use the flatbed if you are familiar with all of its operational features and functions.

Only use the flatbed in the manner described in the instructions for proper use.
●
When riding, always remain seated on the saddle.
●
When riding always ensure that the flatbed is stable.
●
Do not allow persons with insufficient, sensory or mental capacities, lack of experience and knowledge
●
to use the flatbed.
Do not allow children to play with the flatbed.
●
If you do not possess the necessary knowledge and the required tools to make adjustment and repairs,
●
have them carried out by a Carqon dealer.
2.2 General safety instructions
In the interest of your safety, note the following safety instructions:
Wet, slippery or dirty riding tracks may extend the braking distance.

Adapt your riding style and speed to the weather and the surface conditions.
●
Moving parts of the flatbed may trap clothing and body parts.
●
Do not allow any loose garments to hang down, e.g. no laces or jacket belts.
●
Always wear tight fitting clothing on your legs or use bicycle clips.
●
Prior to cleaning or servicing, secure all moving parts of the flatbed.
●
Wear shoes with slip-resistant soles.
●
Incorrect or improper use of the flatbed may cause components of the flatbed to wear more quickly
●
or to break.
Do not ride over staircases or other ledges with the flatbed.
●
Do not ride over ramps or bumps in the ground on the flatbed.
●
Do not use the flatbed to ride downhill at speed.
●
: In general, always be aware and careful while using your Carqon flatbed.
