1.6 Rotational direction of screws

Tighten the screws, quick-release axles and cotter pin nuts in a clockwise direction.
Loosen the screws, quick-release axles and cotter pin nuts in an anti-clockwise direction.

1.7 Seating position

An incorrect seating position can lead to muscular strains and joint pain. If you are not sure how to set up
the seating position, contact Carqon customer services or your Carqon dealer. An incorrect seating position
means that the accessibility of the control elements on the handlebar are restricted. If you are not sure how
to set up the seating position, contact your Carqon dealer. In order to control the flatbed safely, the seating
position must be adapted to your individual needs.

1.8 Wear and tear

Excessive wear, material fatigue or loose screw connections can cause malfunctions which will cause
accidents or falls. Therefore;
Check the flatbed regularly for wear.
Do not use the flatbed if cracks, deformities or colour changes (due to material fatigue or heavy rust)
are present.
Do not use the flatbed if excessive wear or loose screw connections are present.
Have the flatbed checked immediately by a Carqon dealer if excessive wear, loose screw connections,
cracks, deformities or colour changes (due to material fatigue or heavy rust) are present.
As with all mechanical components, flatbeds are exposed to wear and high levels of strain. Different materials
may react differently to wear or degradation caused by exposure to strain. All types of cracks, stretch marks
and colour change (due to material fatigue or heavy rust) show that the service life of the components has
expired. Worn components must be replaced.
Wear to components made from aluminium or composite materials can only be assessed by a Carqon dealer.
For frames, forks and running wheels made from composite materials, hard knocks, shocks and tension can
damage. The inner structure of materials can be changed to its detriment without this being visible.
