WINDOW OPENING DETECTION, ENERGY
SAVING
• Important information about the
window opening detection:
Important: The window opening detection is sensitive to
temperature variations. The device reacts to window
openings according to different parameters: set
temperature, temperature drop and rise in the room,
outside temperature, position of the device in the room,
etc.
If the unit is installed near an entrance door, the detection
of window openings may be disturbed by the air currents
caused by the door openings. If this is a problem, we
recommend that you deactivate the automatic window
detection mode (see page 12). Instead, you can use the
manual activation (see opposite).

Temperature reduction cycle by setting the temperature to
frost protection during the ventilation of a room by opening
a window. The window opening detection is possible from
the Auto, Comfort and Eco modes. Two activation modes
are possible:
- Automatic activation, the temperature reduction cycle is triggered
when the blower detects a temperature change.
- Manual activation, the temperature reduction cycle is triggered by
pressing a button.
• Automatic activation (enabled by default)
To deactivate this mode, see page 12.
The unit detects a drop in temperature. The opening of a
window or a door to the outside can cause this
temperature drop.
Note: The difference between the temperature of the air
coming from outside and the one coming from inside must
cause a significant temperature drop to be detected by the
device. This temperature drop detection
triggers the switch to frost protection mode.
• Manual activation
By pressing
for more than 5
seconds, the appliance
switches to frost protection
mode.
• Counter for the duration of the frost protection
When the appliance performs a temperature reduction
cycle by opening a window, a frost protection time counter
appears on the display to show the duration of the cycle.
The counter will automatically reset to zero the next time
the unit is set to defrost by opening a window (automatic or
manual activation).
• Stop the frost protection cycle
Pressing one of the keys on the keypad interrupts the frost
protection cycle.
Note: If a sufficient temperature rise is detected, the unit
can return to the original mode (mode active before the
detection of the window opening).
