• Trek de bougiekap (B) van de
bougie (A) en schroef de bougie
uit de motor met behulp van een
bougiesleutel.
Moet u de bougie onderweg
schoonmaken of vervangen, raak
hem dan nooit met de blote hand
aan. De bougie is immers zeer
heet wanneer de motor gedraaid
heeft. Zet de bougie los met de
bougiesleutel en gebruik een doek
om hem verder uit het motorblok
te draaien.
• Is de bougie aangekoold, maak
dan de ruimte tussen de
elektroden (A) en (B) schoon met
A
een stalen of koperen borsteltje.
• Is het porseleinen omhulsel van
de bougie gebarsten, zijn de
elektroden versleten of is de
ruimte tussen de elektroden te
groot of te klein, dan moet u de
bougie vervangen. Gebruik altijd
een bougie van het type 'Bosch
WR 10 FC'.
• Is de bougie nat geworden, wrijf
hem dan goed droog.
• Schroef de bougie voorzichtig
terug in het motorblok.
• Zet de bougie lichtjes vast met
de bougiesleutel.
Schroef de bougie niet te diep in
het motorblok of span hem niet te
hard aan om de elektroden niet te
beschadigen.
• Breng de bougiekap weer aan.
Uitlaat
Bij juist gebruik van uw Spartamet
heeft de uitlaatdemper geen
speciaal onderhoud nodig. Maak
alleen de buitenkant af en toe
schoon. Is de uitlaatdemper aan
vervanging toe, ga dan naar uw
Sparta-dealer.

• Pull the sparking cap (B) off the
sparking plug (A) and screw the
sparking plug out of the engine
using a plug wrench.
If you need to clean the sparking
plug on the road, never touch it
with your bare hands. The
sparking plug is always hot when
the engine has been running.
Loosen the plug with the plug
wrench and use a cloth to screw it
completely out of the engine.
• If the sparking plug is
carbonised, clean the space
between the electrodes (A) and
(B) using a steal or copper brush.
• If the porcelain shell of the
sparking plug shows cracks, if
the electrodes are worn or if the
space between the electrodes
has become too large or too
small, you will have to replace
the sparking plug. Always use a
Bosch WR 10 FC sparking plug.
• If the sparking plug is wet, clean
it thoroughly using a piece of
cloth.
• Carefully screw the sparking plug
back into the engine.
• Tighten the plug lightly using the
plug wrench.
Do not screw the plug too deeply
into the engine or do not tighten it
too hard, this may damage the
electrodes.
• Replace the plug cap.
Exhaust
If you use your Spartamet
correctly, the exhaust will not need
any maintenance. Clean the pipe
from time to time. If the exhaust
needs to be replaced, contact your
Sparta dealer.
