Onderhoud en milieubescherming
Voert u zelf een aantal
onderhoudswerkzaamheden uit,
hou dan rekening met de lokale
milieu- en afvalwetgeving. Denk
aan het milieu wanneer u
gebruikte smeer- en
reinigingsmiddelen, batterijen,
versleten banden, brandstof, olie
etc. verwijdert.
Kabels
De kabels zijn nagenoeg
onderhoudsvrij. Controleer ze wel
regelmatig op knikken of
beschadigingen en laat ze zonodig
tijdig vervangen door uw Sparta-
dealer.
Brandstofslang
Controleer regelmatig de
brandstofslang. Vervang ze
jaarlijks of zodra u beschadigingen
vaststelt. Gebruik altijd de
originele Sparta-brandstofslang.
Bougie
Wanneer de motor plots stilvalt,
sputtert, knalt of slecht start, kan
de oorzaak hiervan in de bougie te
vinden zijn. De bougie zal niet
meer goed werken indien:
• de afstand tussen de elektroden
groter of kleiner dan 0,5 mm is
• de elektroden versleten zijn
• de ruimte tussen de elektroden

• de bougie nat geworden is.
• het porseleinen omhulsel
(isolator) van de bougie barsten
vertoont.
Controleer de bougie als volgt:
• Zorg dat de motor uitgeschakeld
is.

Maintenance and environment
protection
If you are carrying out a number of
maintenance tasks yourself, pay
attention to the local environment
and waste disposal legislation.
Consider the environment when
disposing of used cleansing
agents, worn tyres, fuel, oil, etc.
Cables
Cables are as good as
maintenance-free. Do, however,
check them for damage or bends
and have them replaced by your
Sparta dealer in time, if necessary.
The fuel pipe
Regularly check the fuel pipe.
Replace it yearly or as soon as you
notice any damage. Always use
the original Sparta fuel pipe.
Sparking plug
When the engine stops, sputters,
bangs or is difficult to start, the
sparking plug is the probable
cause. The sparking plug will not
function properly in the following
conditions:
• the gap between the electrodes
is larger or smaller than 0,5 mm
• the electrodes are worn
• the gap between the electrodes
is carbonised
• the sparking plug is wet
• the porcelain shell (insulation) of
the sparking plug shows cracks.
Proceed as follows to check the
sparking plug:
• Make sure the engine is switched
off.
