Bij koude motor
Een koude motor start u als volgt:
• Draai de brandstofkraan aan de
onderkant van de tank open. Zet
het kraantje verticaal in de
stand'AUF ON'.
• Zet de gashendel op het stuur in
de stand (choke) en wacht ca. 10
seconden.
• Start de motor door ofwel, indien
voorzien, de startknop (A) kort
(max. 5 seconden) in te drukken
of door de handstarter (B) uit te
trekken tot u weerstand voelt en
met een korte beweging de
motor aan te trekken. Lukt
starten met de startknop (A) niet
meteen, geef dan een beetje gas
door het handvat naar u toe te
draaien en de startknop (A)
opnieuw in te drukken of gebruik
de handstarter (B).
• Laat de motor enkele seconden
draaien en zet de gashendel in de
stand 1.
• Trap bij het wegrijden een paar
slagen mee.
• Geef langzaam gas met het
gasdraaihandvat.
Motor uitzetten
Ga als volgt te werk om de motor
van de Spartamet uit te zetten:
• Draai het gasdraaihandvat
helemaal dicht (naar voren).
• Zet de gashendel op 0. De motor
stopt.
• Draai de brandstofkraan aan de
onderkant van de tank dicht. Zet
het kraantje horizontaal in de
stand 'ZU OFF'.
Gebruikt u de Spartamet niet of
fietst u zonder hulp van de motor,
zorg er dan voor dat de gas-hendel
in de stand 0 staat en de
brandstofkraan dicht (in de stand
'ZU OFF') is.

When the engine is cold
Proceed as follows to start a cold
engine:
• Open the fuel tap at the bottom
of the tank. Turn the tap into
vertical position to 'AUF ON'.
• Put the accelerator lever on the
handlebar in position (choke)
and wait ca. 10 seconds.
• You can start the engine by
briefly (max. 5 seconds) pressing
the starter switch (A), if fitted, or
by pulling the hand starter (B)
until you feel resistance and
then, with a short jerk, pulling
the engine until it starts. If you
cannot manage to start the
engine with the starter switch (A)
right away, open the throttle
slightly by twisting the throttle
grip towards you and press the
starter switch again or use the
hand starter (B).
• Keep the engine running for a
few seconds, then put the
accelerator lever in the '1'
position.
• Pedal along with the movement
of the moped when you start to
ride.
• Slowly open the throttle by
twisting the throttle grip towards
you.
Turning off the engine
Proceed as follows to turn off the
engine of your Spartamet:
• Close the throttle by twisting the
throttle grip away from you.
• Set the accelerator lever to "0".
The engine stops.
• Close the fuel tap at the bottom
of the tank. Put the tap in the
horizontal position 'ZU OFF'.
If you do not use your Spartamet,
or if you cycle without using the
engine, make sure the accelerator
lever is in "0" position and the fuel
tap is closed (in position "ZU
OFF").
