Connecting your camcorder to
your computer using the USB
cable – For Windows users
6 Set the POWER switch to OFF (CHG) on your
camcorder, and then disconnect the USB
cable.
7 Restart your computer.
Step 2: Install the USB driver on the supplied
CD-ROM
Perform the entire procedure described in
"Installing the USB driver" on page 201.
Viewing images recorded on a
"Memory Stick"
Step1: Uninstall the incorrect USB driver
1 Turn on your computer and allow Windows
to load.
2 Insert a "Memory Stick" into your camcorder.
3 Connect the AC power adaptor, and set the
POWER switch to MEMORY/NETWORK
(DCR-IP55E only).
4 Connect the USB connector on your computer
to the
(USB) jack on your camcorder using
the USB cable supplied with your camcorder.
5 Open your computer's "Device Manager".
Windows 2000 Professional:
Select "My Computer" t "Control Panel" t
"System" t "Hardware", and click the
"Device Manager" button.
Other OS:
Select "My Computer" t "Control Panel" t
"System", and click "Device Manager".
6 Select "Other devices".
Select the device prefixed with the "?" mark
and delete.
Ex: (?)Sony Handycam
7 Turn the POWER switch to OFF (CHG) on
your camcorder, and then disconnect the USB
cable.
8 Restart your computer.
Step2: Install the USB driver on the supplied
CD-ROM
Perform the entire procedure described in
"Installing the USB driver" on page 201.

6 Zet de POWER schakelaar van uw camcorder
op "OFF (CHG)" en maak dan de USB-kabel
los.
7 Start uw computer opnieuw op.

Stap 1: Het onjuist geïnstalleerde USB
stuurprogramma verwijderen
1 Schakel uw computer in en wacht totdat
Windows gestart is.
2 Plaats een "Memory Stick" in uw camcorder.
3 Sluit de netspanningsadapter aan op uw
camcorder en zet de POWER schakelaar in de
"MEMORY/NETWORK" stand (alleen voor
de DCR-IP55E).
4 Verbind de USB-aansluitbus van uw
computer met de
camcorder, met behulp van de bij uw
camcorder geleverde USB-kabel.
5 Open het onderdeel "Apparaatbeheer" van
uw computer.
Voor Windows 2000 Professional:
Stel in op "Deze computer" t
"Configuratiescherm" t "Systeem" t
"Hardware" (apparatuur) tabblad en klik dan
op de "Apparaatbeheer" knop.
Voor andere besturingssystemen:
Stel in op "Deze computer" t
"Configuratiescherm" t "Systeem" en klik
dan op de "Apparaatbeheer".
6 Stel in op "Andere apparatuur".
Stel in op het apparaat met een "?"
vraagteken er voor en verwijder dit apparaat.
Bijv.: (?) Sony Handycam
7 Zet de POWER schakelaar van de camcorder
op "OFF (CHG)" en maak de USB-kabel los.
8 Start uw computer opnieuw op.
Stap 2: Het USB stuurprogramma installeren
vanaf de CD-ROM
Volg alle aanwijzingen onder "Het USB
stuurprogramma installeren" op blz. 201.
