DESCRIPTION OF THE
DEVICE
This appliance is an induction system integrated under
the worktop. The appliance has 3 or 4 cooking zones.
The Novy induction system should only be used in
combination with a compatible Dekton 20 mm worktop
from Cosentino. For more detailed information, contact
your Cosentino dealer.
Dekton can withstand temperatures of 180°C for short
periods during cooking (e.g.: when frying and grilling).
The induction system's built-in temperature protection
protects the worktop from rising temperatures (3.2).
The instructions on how to use the appliance can be
found further on in this manual.
4.1
Principle of induction
There is an induction coil under each cooking zone.
When this is on, it produces a variable electromagnetic
field that produces an induction current in the bottom
of the cooking pan. This results in the warming up of
the cooking pan on the cooking zone.
4.2
Quality of the cooking pots/pans
Induction cooking requires adapted metal cooking
pots and pans with magnetic bottoms. It is possible
to check this with a magnet.
This appliance allows induction cooking on a 20-mm-
thick worktop. This is considerably thicker than with
glass induction hobs, with a typical glass thickness
of 4-6 mm. Therefore, using quality induction pots/
pans is important for an optimal cooking experience.
The best cooking experience is obtained with cooking
pots/pans with a steel multilayer bottom. Cast-iron
kettles, iron pans or enamelled metal cooking pots
can also be used.
Do not use cooking pots/pans in copper, aluminium,
glass, wood, ceramic, earthenware, stainless steel
without magnetic bottom. The power absorption of
these cooking pots is insufficient.
