DANGER
Danger of injury or death
u
Do not use the air conditioner near flammable fluids
or in closed rooms.
u
Make sure that no combustible objects are stored or
installed near the air outlet. Keep a clearance of at
least 50 cm.
u
Do not reach into the air openings or insert any for-
eign objects into the air conditioner. Do not operate
the air conditioner without its cover.
u
Do not remove or open the upper cover of the air
conditioner in the event of a fire. Use appropriate
extinguishing agents instead. Never use water to ex-
tinguish fires.
u
The air conditioner must be installed securely so that
it remains attached to the roof.
u
Always wear protective clothing during installation,
such as goggles and gloves.
u
Check whether the vehicle roof is able to support
the weight of the installer as well as the air condi-
tioner before climbing onto it.
CAUTION
u
There may be wires above the ceiling. When cutting
into the roof, you must isolate the power to prevent
the risk of electric shock.
u
Do not spray paint or insecticide on the air condi-
tioner surface.
u
If the unit is equipped with lights, only connect the
LED lights to the DC power lead provided by the air
conditioner. Connection to any other power source
may damage the LED lights.
u
Electrical devices are not toys. Keep electrical appli-
ances out of reach of children or the infirm. Persons
whose physical, sensory or mental capabilities are
impaired, or whose lack of experience and know-
ledge prevents them from using the device safely,
should not use the device without supervision or in-
struction by a responsible person.
u
Never drive through automatic car washes with a
roof air conditioner installed.
u
If faults occur in the air conditioner's refrigerant cir-
cuit, the device must be checked by a specialist
company and properly repaired. The refrigerant
must never be released into the air.

NOTE
u
Keep the air inlet and outlet of the indoor and out-
door units of the air conditioner clear.
u
Isolate the power supply if you do not use the air-
conditioner for a long time.
u
Install the air conditioner in compliance with the in-
structions in this manual. Incorrect installation meth-
ods or alteration of the product may cause damage
to the product or personal injuries to the user.
u
Clean the filter of the air conditioner regularly.
u
A dirty filter decreases the air flow and leads to poor
heating and cooling performance.
u
Ask the vehicle manufacturer if a technical inspec-
tion is required after fitting the air conditioner and
whether the height of the vehicle entered in the
vehicle documents needs to be updated.
u
Switch off the air conditioner via the mains only in
case of danger.
u
Contact after-sales service personnel in case of unit
faults.

mildly flammable refrigerant
Safety class A2L
CAUTION
Handling R32 refrigerant
u
The Cool Top Trail 20G - 24G is filled with refriger-
ant R32. R32 is a mildly flammable refrigerants
(safety class A2L). However, under certain condi-
tions, an air-refrigerant mixture can be ignited.
Therefore, safety precautions must be taken before
working on the refrigerant circuit, especially when
working with an open flame (e.g. soldering). Always
check the work area with a suitable refrigerant de-
tector.
u
Do not pierce or burn the product.
u
Do not use means to accelerate the defrosting pro-
cess or to clean, other than those recommended by
the manufacturer.
u
This product must be stored in a room without con-
tinuously operating ignition sources (for example:
open flames, operating gas appliances or operating
electric heaters.
u
Be aware that refrigerants might not contain an
odour.
u
The area for the installation, operation and storage
of this product must be larger than 4 square meters.
u
This product cannot be discarded or scrapped at
will. The refrigerant in the system must be recovered
before disposal.
u
Before working on refrigeration circuits, evacuate
the circuit into a recycling bottle, flush it with nitro-
gen and ventilate the room.
u
Refrigerant charge must be fully recovered. System
leaks are to be fixed before recharging. Only charge
refrigerant to the weight stated on the name plate.
u
Only charge with refrigerant R32. Use of other refri-
gerants is strictly prohibited.
u
Do not mix the refrigerant with other refrigerants.
