Trimming
Use the trimming head and guard to cut small
weeds, grass or similar soft vegetation.
Warning! Before start using the ma-
chine, check it for damage. Do not
use the machine if it is damaged or not com-
pletely assembled.
1. Make sure that the trimming guard 13 and
trimming head are installed properly.
2. Always look for a secure stand.
3. Start the machine as described in the
'Starting' section of the manual.
4. Hold the trimmer head at an angle of ap-
prox. 30° to the ground.
5. Carefully advance by moving the machine
from left to right.
6. Do not try to cut high grass at once. Trim in
steps when the grass is very high.

Clean the cutting means regularly; see
section 'Cutting Means'.
If the cutting line is worn or too short, new cut-
ting line can be released by touching the ground
with the trimming head. Excessive cutting line
is cut automatically at the blade on the trim-
ming guard 13.
Caution! Do not cut wet grass be-
cause it tends to stick to the cutting
means and guard, prevents proper dis-
charge of clippings and could cause serious
injury from slipping and falling on wet
ground.
Starting
Danger! This machine produces
noxious exhaust fumes. Improper
use can thus lead to poisoning, loss of con-
sciousness or death.
Place the machine on a solid flat, non flam-
mable ground. Ensure that the cutting means
can operate freely and are not in contact with
any objects or the ground.
COLD START
1. Set the ignition switch 3 to I (on).
2. Set the choke lever 18 to COLD START .
3. Press fuel pump several times until fuel
runs freely in the tank return line.
4. Press fuel pump 6x again.
5. Press the throttle trigger 5.
6. Press and hold the throttle interlock 2.

Press the throttle safety button 4 to lock
throttle trigger in half gas position.
8. Once the throttle safety button 4 is
pressed, release the throttle interlock 2
and throttle trigger 5 synchronously.
9. Pull the recoil starter 22 to start the en-
gine.
10. Set the choke lever 18 to WARM START .
11. Let the machine run idle for 10-15 seconds
to warm up.
12. Press the throttle trigger 5 to get full op-
eration speed.
WARM START
1. Set the ignition switch 3 to I (on).
2. Set the choke lever 18 to WARM START .
3. Pull the recoil starter 22 to start the en-
gine.
4. Press the throttle trigger 5 to get full op-
eration speed.
