Refuelling
Caution! This machine is not sup-
plied with a filled tank. Before oper-
ating the machine it must be refuelled. Make
sure to insert the correct mixture of petrol.
This machine is equipped with a 2-stroke air
cooled engine, that requires a mixture of un-
leaded petrol and a quality motor oil (JASO FC
GRADE or ISO EGC GRADE). Do NOT use BIA
or TWC mixed oil (for water-cooling motors).
The mixture of petrol:oil shall be 40:1.
1. Unscrew and remove the fuel tank cap 20.
2. Use a proper funnel with filter and fill the
fuel mixture into the fuel tank 21. Do not
overfill. Leave approx. 5 mm of space to
the top of the fuel tank.
3. Reattach the fuel tank cap 20 and tighten
it securely.
4. Properly clean any spilled fuel mixture with
a soft cloth.
Caution! Do not use biofuels to oper-
ate this machine.
Warning! Flammable materials. Do
not smoke and avoid open flames,
while refuelling or operating the machine.

Brushcutting
Use the brushcutting blade and guard to cut
weeds, brush, small trees and similar vegeta-
tion with a thickness of up to 20 mm.
Warning! Before start using the ma-
chine, check it for damage. Do not
use the machine if it is damaged or not com-
pletely assembled.
1. Make sure that the brushcutting guard 15
and blade are installed properly.
2. Always look for a secure stand.
3. Start the machine as described in the
'Starting' section of the manual.
4. Move the blade close above ground to cut
young trees or grass.
5. Plunge the machine from top to bottom
when cutting rank growth and under-
growth.
6. Carefully advance by moving the machine
from left to right.
Warning! The risk of thrown ob-
jects or clippings increases the
higher the machine is held. Never hold the
machine higher than your hip.
Warning! While working with the
brushcutting blade, there is al-
ways the risk of kickback. Kickback is a
sudden reaction when the cutting means
come in contact with hard objects forcing
the cutting means to move in the opposite
direction of the rotation direction.
Avoid the contact with stones, metal, glass,
and other hard objects. Always keep con-
trol over the handles and pay attention to a
firm stand.
