CAUTION! Risk of injury! Worn
blades are still a major source of
danger. Dispose of the blade im-
mediately.
Tools required
• Pliers
Break blade
1. Only push the blade out of the
housing up to the predetermined
breaking point, otherwise more
than one segment may break off.
2. Grasp the blade with pliers near
the predetermined breaking point.
3. Break the blade in such a way that
the pliers are rotated around their
own axis and the breaking point is
pulled apart. This causes the bar
to break off sharply.
Replace blade
1. Push the slider (23) on the carpet
knife (22) forwards as far as it will
go.
2. Remove and dispose of the blunt
blade properly.
3. Push the slider (23) on the carpet
knife (22) backwards as far as it
will go to use a new blade.
Filling the magazine
1. Press the release (21) on the
carpet knife (22) to pull out the
magazine with the replacement
blades to the rear.
2. Insert the new blade into the
magazine. An opening is punched
in the rear end of the blade into
which the slider is hooked.
3. Push both back into the guide until
the magazine with the replacement
blades clicks into place.
Checking the battery

1. Press the button (11) next to the
charge level indicator button (12)
on the battery (13).
The LEDs of the charge level in-
dicator show how much charge re-
mains in the battery.
2. Charge the battery (13) when only
the red LED on the charge level in-
dicator (12) is illuminated.

• If warm, allow the battery to cool
before charging.
• Do not expose the battery to dir-
ect sunlight for long periods and
do not place it on a radiator (max.
50°C).
Charging the battery
1. Remove the battery (13) from the
device.
2. Push the battery (13) into the char-
ging slot of the battery charger
(31).
3. Connect the battery charger (31) to
a power outlet.
4. After charging, disconnect the bat-
tery charger (31) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery (13) out of the bat-
tery charger (31).
