6. AP-Fix installation with MKT VMU 150 plus mortar
Tools required: Suitable measuring instrument, suitable drill hammer, drill (Ø18 mm), air pump
Work steps:
1.
Use an impact drilling machine to drill an angular hole (Ø 18 mm) up to a depth of 125 mm.
2.
Blow out the bore hole 2 times to ensure that it is free of dust, brush it out 2 times, and blow it
out 2 times again to ensure that it is free of dust
3.
In the bore hole use the dispensing device to inject the injection mortar (fig. 11) into the bore
(fig. 8)
4.
Slowly insert the anchor rod (fig. 3) using a clockwise movement. Keep doing this until the
mortar is seen to emerge. The anchor rod should line up precisely with the fastening surface.
5.
After this, do not move the anchor rod. Refer to the curing times in the table - Fig. 12
Please note:
Before the system is activated as per § 14 of the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health,
a qualified person should check the installation and use the acceptance protocol to carry
out the respective documentation tasks. The pre-activation inspection does not serve to
prove that the respective structure can withstand the forces that emerge in case of a crash.
Its sole purpose is to check whether the anchorage point is firmly embedded in the installa-
tion subsurface.
