4. Package, Transport, Storage
4.1. Delivery
On arrival, the delivered items must be inspected for dam-
age and that all parts are present. If any parts are damaged
or missing, the transport company or the manufacturer
must be informed on the day of delivery. Any claim made
at a later date will be deemed invalid. Damage to parts
must be noted on the delivery or freight documentation.
4.2. Returning to the supplier
Products which are delivered to the plant must be clean
and correctly packaged. In this context, clean means that
impurities have been removed and decontaminated if it
has been used with materials which are hazardous to
health. The packaging must protect the product against
damage. Please contact the manufacturer before return-
ing!
5. Installation and Start-Up
5.1. General
In order to prevent damage to the pump or serious injury
during installation the following points must be observed:
•
Installation work may only be carried out by qualified
persons. The safety instructions must be followed at
all times.
•
The pump must be inspected for damages before any
installation work is carried out.
•
Protect the pump from frost.
•
Electric power cables must be laid out in such a way
that safe operation and non-problematic assembly/
dismantling are possible at all times.
5.2. Installation
Remove the transport securing device between motor
cover and collecting tank. Fill about 2 liters of water slowly
into one of the inlets. In combination with the pneumatic
level control the pump starts and stops according to the
liquid level in the tank. The condensate pump H76K is now
ready for use.
The condensate pump H76K has to be installed in an
absolutely horizontal position, either wall-mounted or
floor-standing. To connect the water to be drained off, con-
nect the water inlet to one of the inlets and close off any
unused inlets with the caps.
Put the 3/8" pressure hose on the black sleeve. Connect
the end of the hose to the next available connection.
The pressure hose should be installed rising, then falling
steadily and has to be free of breaks. To stabilize the pres-
sure hose, a fixed cable tube can be used.
Level control
The pump is equipped with a power cable and an addition-
al signal cable.
18 | ENGLISH
The signal cable can be used oh either conduct a safety
shutdown (COM and NO) or to activate an external low
voltage alarm system (COM and NC). See following table
for contact figuration:

Safety shutdown
Grey = COM

Orange = NO

Purple = NC
-
Please refer to the instruction manual of the condens-
ing boiler for the connection as a safety shutdown or to
the manual of the alarm system for the connection as an
alarm.
The contacts are pre-wired. After opening the motor hous-
ing the cables can be routed to the outside through the
provided opening. Then close the motor housing with the
cover.
5.3. Start-Up
Never let the pump run dry for a long time (danger of
overheating). Make sure that the pump cannot be
splashed or sprayed with water. The pump is not use-
able of plenum systems.
The collecting tank has two slots at the end of the tank
with its help the condensate pump can be mounted. The
condensate pump must be installed in horizontal position.
5.4. Starting methods
Starting methods with plug / switching devices
Put the plug into the dedicated socket and press the pow-
er button on the controller.
6. Maintenance
6.1. General
The entire system must be inspected and maintained at
regular intervals. The time limit for maintenance is set by
the manufacturer and applies to the general conditions of
use.
Note the following information:
•
The operating and maintenance manual must be avail-
able to the maintenance personnel and its instruc-
tions must be followed. Only the repair and mainte-
nance measures listed here may be performed.
•
When working with flammable solvents and cleaning
agents, fires, unshielded lighting and smoking is pro-
hibited.
•
Machines which circulate fluids hazardous to healthy
or which come into contact with them must be de-
contaminated. It must be ensured that no dangerous
gases can form or are present.
