3.3.2. Motor
The three-phase asynchronous motor is made from sheet
metal with a double-varnished winding wire as well as the
motor shaft with rotor package. The power supply cable is
designed for the maximum mechanical load and is sealed
against water pressure from the pumped liquid. The motor
cable lead connections are sealed from the pumped liq-
uid as well. The bearings used are permanently lubricated
maintenance-free antifriction bearings.

Automatic level control
Check of Direction of Rotation
1Ph-pumps do not require any check, as they always run
with the correct direction of rotation.
3Ph-pumps have the right direction of rotation if they
are connected on a clockwise rotating field. On original
HOMA control boxes a control-light is illuminated, if the
direction of rotation is not correct. With smaller pumps
the direction of rotation may be checked by watching the
start-jek. Put the pump vertical on the ground and lift one
edge. Start the motor. Viewed from above, the unit must
jerk anti-clockwise as the correct direction of rotation is
clockwise.

top of the placed unit
With bigger pumps the check may be done by watching
the rotation of the impeller through the discharge or suc-
tion inlet. Switch the pump on and off and check the direc-
tion of rotation when the impeller rotates slowly.
Additional the direction of rotation can control by a "motor
& phase rotation indicator" , which must put on the motor
housing of the operating pump.
Automatic level control
Pump with automatic level control, AS float switch, 10m
cable, control box and manual-auto-switch. 1Ph pump
with integrated capacitor. 3Ph-pump has additional a rota-
tion reversing connector.
3.3.4. Sealing
The sealing between pump and motor is carried out by
one separate mechanical shaft seals (silicon-carbide) and
one sealing ring (FPM) arrangement.

3.3.5. Pump housing

The pump housing, depending on the model, is supplied
with different connections. This means that the machine
can be connected with the respective pipe system.
3.3.6. Impeller
The impeller is fastened directly to the motor shaft and
driven by it. The impellers are also available in different
designs:
Opened multi-channel- impeller, for liquids containing
impurities and sludge with solid particles up to 10mm
Vortex impeller, for liquids containing a high level of
impurities or fibrous matter and containing gas with
solid particles up to 28mm.
ATTENTION
The start reaction is
anti clockwise
Beware of rotating impeller! The rotating impeller
can crush and sever limbs. Never reach into the
pump unit or the moving parts during operation.
Switch off the machine and let the moving parts
come to a rest before maintenance or repair work!
