• Drain system according to section 3-3
• Turn off tank heater
• Remove electrical connections
• Let cool
• Remove process connections and tank drain
• Unbolt and remove from system
• Use double-walled boxes for heavier items.
• If reusing a box, remove all old labels, and make sure it's high-quality,
with no holes, tears, or dents.
• Choose cushioning with enough density to keep items from shifting.
• All units are to be packaged separately
• Both the SDS and the Decontamination Statement are to be attached to
the OUTSIDE of the shipping container.
Prior to returning any device to the factory, visit the Brooks web site
(www.BrooksInstrument.com) for a Return Materials Authorization Number
(RMA#), or contact one of the locations provided on
www.brooksinstrument.com/globalsupportcenters prior to returning the
device, it must be drained and purged in accordance with Section 4-6.
All flow devices returned to Brooks require completion of the Brooks
Instrument Decontamination Statement, along with a Safety Data Sheet
(SDS) for the fluid(s) used in the instrument. Failure to provide this
information will delay processing by Brooks personnel. Copies of these
forms can be downloaded from the Brooks website
(www.BrooksInstrument.com) or are available from any of the Brooks
Instrument locations provided on p. 2-1, www.brooksinstrument.com/
globalsupportcenters
