4. CLAGE app "Smart Control"

1. Go to the device configuration (menu path: Main menu → Settings → Devices),
select your DFX server and tap on "Advanced".
2. Select "Operating mode" and switch to the operating mode "Client".
3. Under "Select network", all networks found within range are listed. Tap on your SSID
to select your home network. If the SSID of your home network is hidden, it must
be set to "visible" for a short time for the configuration.
4. Then enter your WLAN password under "Password" and tap on "Apply". The DFX
Next updates the WLAN settings and tries to log in to the router with the entered
access data.
5. Close the app and connect your tablet / smartphone to your home network as well.
6. Start the Smart Control App. If the login was successful, you now have access to
your DFX Next via your home network.
7. In the control app, you can check the successful installation in the device configura-
tion by selecting the DFX Home Server and tapping on "Connect...". The following
text should be displayed: "The Home Server can be used".
Note: If a login with the entered access data is not possible, the DFX switches back to
access point mode.
Note: A time delay of a few seconds is normal and dependent on the network infra-
structure and utilization.
Software update
Updating the Smart Control app
We recommend using the latest software in order to ensure the impeccable and secure
operation of the CLAGE Home Server.
Any new control app version will be indicated in the app store.
• Updating iOS-devices: For updating your control app, select the "Updates" tab in
the appstore and tap on the "Update" button which is to the right of the control
app.
• Updating Android-OS-devices: For updating your control app, select the Smart
Control app in the Google Playstore and tap on the "Update" button.
Updating the DFX Next firmware
Note: Do not disconnect your DFX Next from power supply during updates.
For an update the DFX Next must be connected to a Wi-Fi network with internet
access.
The instantaneous water heaters is unavailable during the update for several minutes.
1. Go to the device configuration in the settings menu: (Main menu - Settings -
Device).
2. Select the DFX Next which you want to update.
3. Select "Software", then "Install update" and confirm the following message.
4. Wait for about 10 minutes and then test the function of your device.
If an update is not possible even after multiple attempts, contact the after-sales ser-
vice.
