6. SETTING THE TIMER
The TIMER function is a useful setting that helps you have your rice or other food ready
at a desired time. You can use the TIMER function for the STANDARD, CONGEE, SOUP, STEAM,
QUINOA modes and the WHITE, BROWN and SUSHI modes.
To set the TIMER, press the MENU button and select the desired cooking programme.
Press the TIMER button until the preset time of the mode lights up on the display. You can now
use the +1HR and +10MIN buttons to set the time at which the rice or your dish are to be ready.
Then press the START button. The rice cooker will now begin to count down until the end of the
programme. You can set the time from 70 minutes to up to 24 hours in advance.
7. THE KEEP-WARM FUNCTION
Keep your rice warm – for up to 24 hours! As soon as the Digital Reishunger Rice Cooker has
completed the cooking process, it automatically switches to WARM mode. This is particularly
practical, as: this way you can never burn rice again.
You can use the Keep-Warm mode to warm up cold cooked rice. Simply hold down the
WARM button for two seconds. The WARM button then lights up and the timer on the display
starts running. This way you can always keep an eye on how long you have been keeping the
rice warm for.
To end Keep-Warm mode, press the CANCEL button for two seconds. The rice cooker then switches
back into Standby mode.

8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The Digital Reishunger Rice Cooker is designed for a long lifespan. However, in order that you
can reap the benefits for a really long time, you should observe a few care and maintenance
instructions.
•
After use you must remove all remaining food residue and clean the Digital Reishunger Rice
Cooker directly.
•
Avoid using metal brushes, scouring brushes or strong chemicals when cleaning – they cause
more damage than they are worth. If residues cannot be removed directly, fill the internal pot
with water and a little washing-up liquid before you attempt cleaning again.
•
Do not, under any circumstances, hold the rice cooker under water! To clean the external
housing, you are best to use a damp sponge or a soft cleaning cloth.
•
The inner lid can be removed. To do so, simply press the release latch and lift the lid from the
bracket. You should clean the lid in soapy water with a sponge after each use.
•
Never put the pot and inner lid in the dishwasher. The washing cycle and chemicals are too
aggressive for it. Any damage caused by a dishwasher will not be covered by our warranty.
•
The steam cap on the lid can be removed. It too should also be regularly cleaned.
•
Only use cooking utensils made of plastic or wood. Metal cutlery can damage the ceramic
coating in the internal pot.
•
Remove and clean the condensate collection container after every use. Wash it, leave it to dry
and then return it back to its position.
•
Never clean the internal pot with vinegar. This will also damage the ceramic coating.
•
Over time, the colour of the ceramic coating may change. This is completely normal and is no
reason for concern.
