Unrecoverable System Errors
Safety mechanisms in the Smartsigns® LITE Series are designed to monitor
for particular unrecoverable system errors in which the device may fail to
operate normally and may produce a possible hazard to the user or patient.
If an unrecoverable system error occurs, the device will:-
1.
Deflate the cuff.
2.
De-activate the main display and display the device malfunction LED
(
) .
3.
Initiate a 5 second alarm tone to signify that a unrecoverable system
error has occurred.
After an unrecoverable system error, the device must be re-powered to
begin normal operation. If normal operation does not resume, return for
servicing.
