4. NIBP Operating Instructions
The Smartsigns® LITE Series has two blood pressure operational modes:
M M a a n n u u a a l l M M o o d d e e is designed to take a single blood pressure measurement.
A A u u t t o o m
m a a t t i i c c M M o o d d e e takes six measurements, discards the first due to possible
patient stress, and displays the average of the last five readings. The cycle
time can be selected in Automatic Mode. Readings can be reviewed in both
Manual and Automatic Modes.

Select Appropriate Cuff Size
Selecting the appropriate cuff size is important, otherwise blood pressure
readings may be inaccurate.
Huntleigh Healthcare Ltd. provide five cuff sizes.
Child
Regular adult
Extra-Large adult
NOTES
Ensure that the tubing and cuff connectors are tight.
It is important for the patient to remain still during inflation and
measurement.
