REMS CamScope Wi-Fi:
The application software for Android automatically creates a folder on the
Smartphone/Tablet-PC for saving the photos and videos. The name of the folder
is REMS. Tap the Play Photo/Video button (23) to show the recorded photos/
videos from the application software. By briefl y tapping a photo/video, the photo
is displayed large or the video played. By touching a photo/video in the displayed
list for longer, it is possible to send/transfer it with the application software
installed on the Smartphone/Tablet-PC. See the operating instructions of the
Smartphone/Tablet-PC and the application software. It is possible to open the
photos/videos outside the REMS application software, see the operating instruc-
tions of the Smartphone/Tablet-PC.
With the application software for iOS, the recorded photos/videos are displayed
in a list by tapping the Play Photo/Video button (23). By briefl y tapping a photo/
video, the photo is displayed large or the video played. The recorded photos/
videos can only be sent/transferred outside the REMS application software.
See the operating instructions of the Smartphone/Tablet-PC and the application
software.
3.6. Delete Photo/Video folder
REMS CamScope:
Select the photo/video or folder to be deleted as described in 3.5 and press
the Menu button (11) for about 2 s. Select "Yes" in the security prompt with the
Up/Down buttons and confi rm with the OK button (9). A folder can only be
deleted if it contains no photo/video.
REMS CamScope S:
Select the photo/video or folder to be deleted as described in 3.5 and press
the Delete/Zoom button (22). Select "Checkmark" in the security prompt with
the Up/Down buttons and confi rm with the OK button (9).
REMS CamScope Wi-Fi:
In the application software for Android, select the photo/video to be deleted as
described in 3.5 and activate the delete function by touching for longer.
With the application software for iOS, the recorded photos/videos can only be
deleted outside the REMS application software.
5. Faults
5.1. Fault: No picture in the display (19) of the controller unit (7) or in the Smartphone/Tablet-PC.
Cause:
● Camera cable set Color (2) not fi tted correctly.
● Wireless range exceeded.
● Battery of controller unit (7) or Smartphone/Tablet-PC empty.
● Batteries of the handheld unit (5) empty. In the REMS CamScope Wi-Fi the
Power-LED (6) then lights red.
● WLAN on the Smartphone/Tablet-PC is switched off (REMS CamScope
Wi-Fi).
● Fault on wireless connection between the handheld unit (5) and the
controller unit (7) or the Smartphone/Tablet-PC.
● Electrical device defective.
5.2. Fault: Display (19) does not change although the camera is moved or a button pressed.
Cause:
● Display (19) does not change (REMS CamScope, REMS CamScope S).
● Display of the Smartphone/Tablet-PC does not change (REMS CamScope
Wi-Fi).
5.3. Fault: It is not possible to record photos/videos (REMS CamScope, REMS CamScope S).
Cause:
● MicroSD card not inserted.
● MicroSD card defective.

4. Maintenance
Notwithstanding the maintenance described below, it is recommended to send
in the electrical device to an authorised REMS contract customer service
workshop for inspection and periodic testing of electrical devices at least once
a year. In Germany, such periodic testing of electrical devices should be
performed in accordance with DIN VDE 0701-0702 and also prescribed for
mobile electrical equipment according to the accident prevention rules DGUV,
regulation 3 "Electrical Systems and Equipment". In addition, the respective
national safety provisions, rules and regulations valid for the application site
must be considered and observed.
4.1. Maintenance
WARNING
Pull out the mains plug before maintenance work!
Clean the electrical device regularly especially when it has not been in use for
a long time.
Clean plastic parts (e.g. housing) only with REMS CleanM machine cleaner
(Art. No. 140119) or a mild soap and a damp cloth. Do not use household
cleaners. These often contain chemicals which can damage the plastic parts.
Never use petrol, turpentine, thinner or similar products for cleaning. Only clean
the display (19) of the controller unit (7) with a suitable, soft, dry cloth. Make
sure that no dirt gets into the cable plug/socket (3) of the camera cable set
Color (2) or the handheld unit (5) or into the connection sockets (13,14,16) and
MicroSD card slot (15) of the controller unit (7).
Make sure that liquids never get onto or inside the electrical device. Never
immerse the electric device in liquid.
4.2. Inspection/repair
Service and repair work are not possible in the REMS CamScope, REMS
CamScope S and REMS CamScope Wi-Fi.
Remedy:
● Fit the camera cable set Color as described in 2.2.
● Reduce distance between handheld unit (5) and controller unit (7).
● Charge the battery, see appropriate operating instructions.
● Change the batteries of the handheld unit, see 2.1.
● Switch on WLAN, see operating instructions of the Smartphone/Tablet-PC.
● Fix the controller unit to the handheld unit in REMS CamScope and REMS
CamScope S. If the Power-LED (6) lights red or does not light on CamScope
Wi-Fi, switch off the handheld unit at the On/Off thumbwheel (4) and switch
back on after a short time.
● Have the electrical device checked by an authorised REMS contract customer
service workshop.
Remedy:
● Press the Reset button carefully (20) for example with a straightened paper
clip.
● Exit application software, restart, see operating instructions of the Smartphone/
Tablet-PC.
Remedy:
● Insert MicroSD card, see 2.3.2.
● Change MicroSD card, see 2.3.2.
