Faults, causes and remedies

Installation
1.
Insert a new stationary ring.
2.
Reinsert the pump shaft in the lantern.
3.
Push the new mechanical seal (Fig. I, Item 5) onto the shaft.
4.
Push the spacer (Fig. I, Item 6) onto the pump shaft.
5.
Mount the impeller (Fig. I, Item 2) onto the pump shaft.
6.
Push the new snap ring (Fig. I, Item 7) onto the pump shaft.
7.
Insert new O-ring (Fig. I, Item 8).
8.
Insert the lantern (Fig. I, Item 3) with impeller and shaft seal into the pump housing and
screw them in place.
9.
Assemble the motor following the steps described in the "Changing the motor, pump
version with standard motor" chapter.
Always observe the information in the "Commissioning" chapter!

Have faults remedied by qualified personnel only! Observe all
safety instructions!
If the malfunction cannot be rectified, consult a specialist technician or the nearest Wilo
customer service or representative location.

Remedies
Electrically isolate the motor.
Remove the cause of the block-
ing. Motor blocking: Overhaul/
replace motor/motor impeller
unit.
Check all cable connections.
Check fuses; replace faulty
fuses.
Have the motor checked by the
Wilo customer service or a spe-
cialised service centre and re-
paired if necessary.
Set the pump to the rated
volume flow on the discharge
side (see rating plate).
Set the motor protection switch
to the correct rated current (see
rating plate).
Move the motor protection
switch or protect it using heat
insulation.
Check the motor and fan cover
for contamination and clean
them if necessary.
Check the ambient temperature
and, if necessary, set the ambi-
ent temperature to ≤ 40 °C by
forced ventilation.
