Only make plunge cuts in soft materials

(e .g . wood or plasterboard) using a short
saw blade (max . length: 150 mm) .
Plunge cuts are very challenging and are

associated with a higher risk of injuries .
Only use this technique if you are familiar
with it .
1 . Place the front edge of the base plate
on the workpiece so that the saw blade
does not touch the workpiece .
2 . Switch the product on .
3 . Slowly plunge the saw blade
workpiece .
4 . When you have cut through the depth of the
workpiece, continue sawing as usual .
